Dear Patients,

We would like to inform you that Dr. Bonilla’s practice, A Mindful Path to Mental Health, has recruited the help of a bigger network called Los Gatos Therapy Center (LGTC) to handle the billing processes with the major Healthcare Insurance Providers. We trust this step will allow us to focus better on your clinical care.

What will change?

We’ll use a different Medical Record Platform called EHR Your Way to streamline the billing process through LGTC and will phase out Athena Health.

You will be asked to create a new Patient Portal account there; during the process, you will find new consent forms that need to be signed before your next appointment.

Your Telehealth appointments will be held via our HIPAA-compliant Zoom service. (Athena Tele-health not available anymore)
The link to connect will be included in your appointment reminder email, as it has always been, along with appointment-related instructions and clinical forms.

You will be asked to download the HIPAA-compliant Spruce app via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, which will become our preferred way of communication for confidential information.

What remains unchanged?

Our physical office won’t change. If you need to come in for an in-person visit, our clinic remains at:

Even though you may hear some new voices from the LGTC staff supporting us, you will continue to communicate with the Care Team staff that you already know and are here to support you. You will continue to receive appointment reminders from our Care Team with appointment-related instructions and clinical forms.

This message is exclusively informational. You will get a call from a staff member of LGTC to help you set up your EHR Your Way and Spruce accounts and send you the required sign-up paperwork. They, as well as our staff, will be able to provide any additional support you may need to get all the required paperwork in before your next appointment. 

We understand change is inconvenient and challenging, but we truly believe this particular change will make our office administrative tasks more efficient, enabling Dr. Bonilla and your care team to focus even more on providing the best clinical care possible.

Please note:

Los Gatos Therapy Center will be handling all billing processes on behalf of our practice moving forward.

You may receive separate communication from them regarding insurance coverage and billing issues, and you will be able to communicate directly with them through your new patient portal if any billing questions may arise.
